Foreword from the Dean
Globally, technology has digitalized many aspects of our lives, including how the economy works. Companies as well as the audit profession are intensely focusing on the impact of technology advances. In the future, humans and machines will collaborate where the machines will analyze repetitive and clerical tasks. Technology helps simplify humans working responsibilities, especially in the day-to-day business operations. Auditors must develop their competencies so that they can adapt to the Technology-Driven Era to increase their audit quality
SPA (Studi Profesionalisme Akuntan), an organization of the accounting students of the Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Indonesia, holds an annual event called ATV, which aims to share with participants comprehensive knowledge regarding the auditing world through active discussion, audit case studies, audit training, and visiting public accounting firms. This year’s event, the 19th ATV, carries a grand theme of “Capturing the New Era: The Enrichment of Auditors’ Competencies in Facing the Upcoming Challenges” which consists of Audit Competition, Conference, Training, and Company Visit.
As the Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Indonesia, I strongly support the 19th ATV to stimulate and encourage students’ participation for the betterment of the audit sectors in the future.
